    Vitigno: Barbera 100%.

    Vigneto: un vigneto con orientamento ad Est, situato nel comune di Treiso.

    Epoca di vendemmia: tra la fine di settembre e l'inizio di ottobre.

    Tipo di vendemmia: raccolta manuale, con attenta cernita; l'uva viene raccolta in ceste bucherellate di materiale plastico.

    Vinificazione: avviene immediatamente dopo la raccolta dei grappoli.

    Pigiatura con deraspatura; fermentazione in recipienti di acciaio con controllo della temperatura e con macerazione a cappello sommerso per 8/10 giorni, alla temperatura massima di 30°C.

    Maturazione: la Barbera d'Alba illimpidisce nelle vasche di acciaio fino alla primavera successiva alla vendemmia; da questo momento va in barrique dove matura per almeno 12 mesi.

    Nel mese di agosto del 2° anno dopo la raccolta delle uve viene imbottigliata.

    Affinamento: nella bottiglia coricata la Barbera d'Alba si affina nelle cantine interrate per almeno 6-7 mesi prima di avviarsi definitivamente al consumo.

    Acidità totale 6,44 ‰.

    Caratteri organolettici: color rosso rubino intenso con riflessi granati; profumo ampio, avvincente, con sentori fruttati che ricordano la rosa, la mora e la prugna e di sensazioni più contenute di spezie e di etereo; sapore pieno, caldo, di ottima struttura, con buona dotazione acida.

    A tavola: vino di bella pienezza, é adatto ad accompagnare i piatti forti della tradizione e della cucina creativa, dagli antipasti di carne ai primi piatti sapidi, ai secondi di carne bianca e rossa, ai formaggi ben stagionati.

    Servizio: gli ampi calici di cristallo sono compagni fedeli di questo vino; temperatura di servizio, sui 16-18° C.

    Grape Variety: Barbera 100%.

    Vineyard: East-facing, situated in the borough of Treiso.

    Harvest Period: Between late September and early October.

    Harvesting Method: Carefully selected by hand, the grapes are collected in perforated plastic baskets.

    Vinification: Takes place immediately after the bunches are picked.
    Pressing with destemming is followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled steel containers with submerged-cap maceration for 8-10 days at a maximum temperature of 30°C.

    Maturation: The Barbera d'Alba is clarified in steel vats until the spring following harvest then is transferred to barrique casks where it matures for at least twelve months.
    The wine is bottled in the August of the seond year after the harvest.

    Refinement: Once safely bottled, the Barbera d'Alba is refined in the cellar for at least 6-7 months before it is released onto the market.

    Sensory Qualities: Intense ruby-red color with gannet hues, full-nosed and compelling with fruity notes which evoke roses, blackberries and plums, as well as more subtle hints of spices. Full-bodied, warm and well-structured with a pleasing acidic quality.

    Pairing: A beautifully full-bodied wine, suitable for accompanying rich, traditional and creative dishes, from meat-based starters to savoury pasta/rice dishes, white and red meats and well-ripened cheeses.

    Serving: Large, crystal glasses are this wine’s faithful companions! Serve at 16-18° C.

    Rebsorte: 100% Barbera

    Lage: Weinberg nach Osten ausgerichtet, in der Gemeinde Treiso.

    Erntezeit: zwischen Ende September und Anfang Oktober.

    Erntetechnik: sorgfältige Lese und Selektion der Trauben per Hand; die Trauben werden in perforierten Kunststoffkörben direkt in den Keller zur Verarbeitung gebracht.

    Vinifizierung: direkt nach der Ernte. Pressen und Entrappen (das Entfernen der Kämme und Stiele); Fermentation in Edelstahlbehältern bei genauer Temperaturkontrolle und Mazerations- (Maische-)zeit mit getauchtem Tresterhut für 8 – 10 Tage; maximale Temperatur: 30°C.

    Reifung: Der Barbera d’Alba ruht in den Edelstahltanks bis zum folgenden Frühjahr. Danach wird der Wein in Eichenfässern für mindestens 12 Monate barriquiert. Im August des zweiten Jahres nach der Ernte wird er in Flaschen abgefüllt.

    Ausbau: Auf der Flasche wird der Wein noch für 6 – 7 Monate im Keller ausgebaut, bevor er schließlich trinkreif ist.

    Charaktereigenschaften: Farbe: rubinrot mit Tönen von Granatrot; Duft: volles, einladendes Bouquet mit fruchtigen Noten von Rose, Brombeere und Pflaume sowie mit zarten Gewürznoten; Geschmack: voll, warm, sehr strukturiert, angenehme leichte Säure.

    Empfehlung: Ein wunderbar voller Wein, der sich bestens als Begleiter zu der kräftigen traditionellen ebenso wie zur modernen, kreativen Küche eignet; zu den Fleischvorspeisen über die schmackhaften Nudel- und Reisgerichte, dem Gang mit hellem oder dunklem Fleisch bis zu den gutgereiften Käsen.

    Servieren: In weiten Kristallgläsern kommt dieser Wein am besten zur Geltung. Trinktemperatur: 16 – 18°C.
